Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that defender Vincent Kompany could miss the remainder of the season with a muscle injury.
Kompany has struggled with the problem for a couple of weeks, and after he was withdrawn during half time of the Manchester derby last weekend, Pellegrini has admitted that the Belgian could remain sidelined until the summer.
The 61-year-old told reporters: "He has a muscle injury - we don't know how long. We don't know if he will be fit before the end of the season."
The City skipper has been restricted to just 31 appearances in all competitions this season.
