West Ham United's Sam Allardyce: 'All managers are under the cosh'

Sam Allardyce says that all managers are "under the cosh" as rumours of a possible West Ham United exit continue to circulate.

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce believes that managers are constantly under pressure and are in danger of being sacked at any moment.

The 60-year-old's future has been a talking point over the last few months, with some suggesting that the Hammers will part company with the coach at the end of the season.

It has been reported that the hierarchy at Upton Park are keen to make changes before they move to the Olympic Stadium in 2016.

Allardyce, who has overseen his side win just once in their last 10 Premier League games, has drawn on a similar situation involving Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini, who is rumoured to be leaving the Etihad Stadium in the summer.

"Like my own situation, there has been plenty of speculation about Manuel Pellegrini's future," Allardyce wrote in his column for the London Evening Standard. "The bottom line is we're all under the cosh if we don't achieve what people think we should."

Swansea City manager Garry Monk has been touted as a possible replacement for Allardyce, and the coach himself has admitted that it is a "compliment" to be linked to the Hammers.
