Super-agent Jorge Mendes may reportedly give AC Milan the opportunity to sign midfielder Ruben Neves from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for AC Milan.

Last summer, Neves made the surprise switch from Porto to Molineux and the Portuguese international has played an instrumental role in helping Wolves earn promotion to the Premier League.

The 21-year-old has a long-term contract in the West Midlands and has suggested that he wants to remain at the club for their first campaign back in England's top flight, but it appears that super-agent Jorge Mendes may have other ideas.

According to Calciomercato, Mendes is considering the possibility of striking a deal for Neves to move to San Siro in the summer, with the Italian giants looking to put together a squad capable of challenging for a top-three position in Serie A.

Milan are currently in danger of missing out on a European place next season, while the Rossoneri must also fulfil commitments with FFP before making significant additions ahead of the new campaign.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are also said to hold an interest in Neves.
