Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard insists that he is focused on Tuesday's Premier League clash with Fulham despite the FA Cup final being just around the corner.

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has insisted that he is fully focused on Tuesday's Premier League clash with Fulham, despite the FA Cup final being less than a week away.

The Reds have been disappointing in the league but could pick up their second trophy of the season should they beat Chelsea next Saturday.

Gerrard, however, believes that it is important they remain focused on the next game so that they can go into the final in good form.

"We've got to beat Fulham first, we'll take each game as comes and we want to go into the cup final in good form," said the England midfielder.

"We're excited, we've done really well in the cups this year and we deserve to be in the final but it would be silly and naive to focus on the final with league games to come."

Gerrard returned to the starting lineup for Liverpool's 3-0 win over Norwich City this afternoon.
