Claudio Ranieri 'confirms interest' in Sevilla ace Steven N'Zonzi

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri refuses to rule out a move for Steven N'Zonzi, who has a reported £25m buy-out clause in his Sevilla contract.

Claudio Ranieri has admitted that Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi is on Leicester City's radar as he looks to bring in more additions ahead of next week's transfer deadline.

The 27-year-old spent last term in La Liga after departing Stoke City in a £7m deal, helping the Rojiblancos to Europa League success for the third season in succession.

Reports emerged earlier this week suggesting that N'Zonzi could be back on his way to the Premier League with champions Leicester, just 12 months after waving goodbye to Stoke, and Ranieri has refused to rule out a move for the Frenchman.

"I confirm the speculation," he is quoted as saying by talkSPORT.

"For me it is important to coach these players and to improve these players. I speak only about my player and not the other players."

N'Zonzi, who has a reported £25m buy-out clause in his contract, played a full part for Sevilla in their opening La Liga fixture against Espanyol last weekend.
