New Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has promised that he will pay the the outstanding wages owed to the club's staff on Monday.
Cellino finally completed his takeover of the club yesterday, winning an appeal against the Football League's initial decision to block his bid due to him failing their owners' and directors' test.
The players were only paid a "proportion" of their wages in March, but Cellino has vowed to rectify that as well as repurchasing Elland Road and the club's training facility Thorp Arch.
"Next week I will go to the bank and buy back Elland Road and Thorp Arch, and on Monday I will pay all the wages," Cellino told The Sun.
Cellino also outlined his plan to see Leeds return to the top flight within two years.
