Colchester United confirm Jack Marriott arrival

Ipswich Town's young striker Jack Marriott moves to Colchester United on loan for the remainder of the season.

Colchester United have secured the services of Ipswich Town striker Jack Marriott on loan until the end of the season.

It was confirmed yesterday that the Tractor Boys had recalled the 20-year-old from his stint with Football Conference side Woking, where he had been since September.

However, rather than being kept as a part of Mick McCarthy's squad at Portman Road, Marriott will finish the campaign in League One with Colchester.

Marriott is the second player to arrive at the Colchester Community Stadium this month following the permanent addition of Alex Wynter from Crystal Palace.

Meanwhile, the U's have also revealed that Ipswich right-back Elliott Hewitt has extended his loan spell with the club by a further month.
