Ipswich Town close in on Paddy Kenny?

Ipswich Town are close to the signing of veteran goalkeeper Paddy Kenny following his release by Bolton Wanderers, according to a report.

Ipswich Town are reportedly close to making the signing of veteran goalkeeper Paddy Kenny.

The 36-year-old is currently without a club after being released by Bolton Wanderers on Monday, four months after moving to the Macron Stadium.

The Irishman was recently loaned out to League One outfit Oldham, where he conceded 11 goals in just two games.

Town manager Mick McCarthy wants to take Kenny to Portman Road as cover, according to The Herald.

Kenny failed to make a single first-team appearance for Bolton.
