Hibernian have confirmed that they have agreed compensation with Inverness Caledonian Thistle over the managerial appointment of Terry Butcher.
Butcher and his assistant Maurice Malpas now have permission to hold talks with Hibs over the vacancy at Easter Road Stadium.
The Scottish Premiership club is currently looking for a new boss following the departure of Pat Fenlon at the start of the month.
"We are grateful to Inverness Caledonian Thistle for the professional and courteous way in which the discussions between the clubs have been conducted," chairman Rod Petrie told Hibs' official website.
"We now look forward to welcoming the new management team to Easter Road Stadium."
Hibs are expected to introduce Butcher and Malpas to the press on Tuesday.
