Turkish Super League side Galatasaray have revealed that they are in discussions with Serie A's Inter Milan over a move for centre-back Andrea Ranocchia.
The club's president Unal Aysal said that head coach Roberto Mancini identified the player and that Galatasaray would now try to make sure that a deal can be struck.
"Today our coach Roberto Mancini has asked for a new name for the defence: Andrea Ranocchia," Aysal is quoted as saying by FCInterNews.it.
"We are in talks with Inter and with the player. We're trying to reach an agreement. It would be a surprise if he does not arrive."
Mancini was in charge of Inter between 2004 and 2008.
