Martin Jol has sent scouts to Fleetwood Town to monitor the striker, who has already attracted interest from West Ham, Charlton and Blackpool.
The 24-year-old, who scored against Blackpool in Saturday's 5-1 FA Cup clash, is rated at £1m by Fleetwood.
Ian Holloway has already had a £750,000 bid for Vardy rejected.
