Santos president Luis Alvaro de Oliveira claims that Shakhtar Donetsk striker Willian will complete a move to Chelsea at the end of the season.

Shakhtar Donetsk striker Willian will complete a move to Chelsea at the end of the season, according to Santos president Luis Alvaro de Oliveira.

Willian, 23, came close to joining Chelsea in January but the two clubs could not agree on a final price for the attacking midfielder.

However according to Santos, who were also interested in Willian, Chelsea will secure their man at the end of the season.

"We gave up because of a proposal that [Shakhtar] received from Chelsea. It was an offer of tens of millions of euros. It seems that he will go there in the middle of the year," said the Santos president.

Willian has scored 28 goals in 188 appearances for Shakhtar.
