Marseille reportedly consider a move to re-sign Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, who departed the Stade Velodrome in 2004.

Marseille are said to be interested in bringing Didier Drogba back to the Stade Velodrome.

Drogba is out of contract in the summer and, although the Londoners have revealed that they are planning to hold talks with the 34-year-old, he is widely expected to leave Stamford Bridge.

Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua has continually be touted as a likely destination for the Ivorian but Marseille are also keen on his services, according to The Metro.

Drogba played for Marseille for one season between 2003 and 2004, scoring 19 goals in 35 matches.
