Team News: Diego Costa starts in Antonio Conte's first match in charge of Chelsea

Diego Costa leads the line in Antonio Conte's first pre-season friendly in charge of Chelsea as the team face Rapid Vienna in Austria.

Diego Costa will lead the line this afternoon as Antonio Conte oversees his first pre-season friendly in charge of Chelsea against Rapid Vienna in Austria.

The striker has been linked with a return to Atletico Madrid this summer, but he will try to prove his worth after Conte selected him to spearhead today's attack.

Captain John Terry will partner Papy Djilobodji in the centre of defence, with Branislav Ivanovic and Baba Rahman either side.

Conte has also opted to give starting spots to John Obi Mikel, Nemanja Matic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Victor Moses and Willian, who recently signed a new four-year deal.

Summer signing Michy Batshuayi has not yet joined up with the squad, while N'Golo Kante, who completed a move to the club today, will meet his new teammates in the coming days.

Chelsea: Begovic; Ivanovic, Djilobodji, Terry, Baba Rahman; Mikel, Matic; Loftus-Cheek, Moses, Willian; Costa
Subs: Blackman, Delac, Hector, Miazga, Aina, Chalobah, Kenedy, Cuevas, Oscar, Atsu, Traore, Remy
