Frank Lampard has reportedly agreed terms with Chelsea to become their new head coach and an announcement is expected to be made on Wednesday.
The 41-year-old was given permission by Derby County last week to hold talks with the Blues over replacing Maurizio Sarri in the Stamford Bridge dugout.
Discussions have dragged on longer than expected but, according to Football.London, everything has now been signed and it is just a matter of time until Chelsea confirm the appointment.
Lampard, who is the Blues' all-time leading scorer with 211 goals, is likely to be joined by assistant Jody Morris and first-team coach Chris Jones in making the switch from Derby.
Chelsea start pre-season training on Friday and their first friendly takes place against Bohemians in Dublin on July 10.
