Chelsea centre-back John Terry could miss the club's third-round cup tie against Portsmouth on Sunday, the club have confirmed.
The Blues captain has been carrying a knee injury since the turn of the year after picking up a knock. He needed a painkilling injection ahead of the club's game at Molineux earlier this month.
It is understood that the 31-year-old's availability is to be assessed on Saturday – one day prior to Portsmouth's trip to Stamford Bridge.
