Swansea City are on course to win a major English trophy for the first time in their 101-year existence, as they lead Bradford City 2-0 after 45 minutes of the League Cup final.

Swansea City are well on course to win a major English trophy for the first time in their 101-year existence.

The Swans have thoroughly dominated the first half of the League Cup final against Bradford City at Wembley Stadium and are leading 2-0 at half time.

Nathan Dyer gave the Premier League outfit a deserved lead on 16 minutes, when he tapped home from close range, after goalkeeper Matt Duke had failed to hold Michu's low effort from the edge of the area.

Michu made it 2-0 with his 19th goal of the season five minutes before the break.

The Spaniard collected Pablo Hernandez's clever pass, before turning Carl McHugh and poking the ball into the corner of the net from 16 yards.

Swansea have dominated possession with a 73% share.

Bradford, who defeated Arsenal and Aston Villa earlier in the competition, are yet to register a shot at goal.
