Bradford City manager Phil Parkinson says that tonight's victory over Aston Villa is better than their win over Arsenal in the previous round.

Bradford City manager Phil Parkinson has urged his side not to get carried away despite their Capital One Cup semi-final first-leg victory over Aston Villa.

The Bantams shocked their Premier League opposition at Valley Parade thanks to goals from Nahki Wells, Rory McArdle and Carl McHugh.

Andreas Weimann's goal keeps the tie alive as the two teams face off once more at Villa Park in two weeks for a place in the final.

However, Parkinson believes that all the pressure is now on Paul Lambert's men.

"We don't want to get carried away with our celebrations because we still have to go to Villa Park for the second leg but the lads can enjoy themselves tonight," the 45-year-old told Sky Sports News.

"Now we can go there and really enjoy it because the pressure will be on Villa."

When asked if tonight's victory was as sweet as the one over Arsenal in the previous round, Parkinson replied: "Yes. To score three goals against a Premier League team is an outstanding achievement. We played so well.

"They came with a really attacking lineup but they left space and we passed the ball so well. They had chances but so did we."

The final of the Capital One Cup takes place at Wembley on February 24.
