Sergio Aguero is 'very happy' at Barcelona and has no plans to seek a sudden exit following the departure of Lionel Messi, according to a report.

Sergio Aguero has no intention of leaving Barcelona despite Lionel Messi's shock exit, according to a report.

After officially becoming a free agent at the end of June, Messi was understood to have reached an agreement over a new contract at Camp Nou, only for financial obstacles to prevent the deal going through.

With Messi now seemingly set to join Paris Saint-Germain, a recent report claimed that Aguero was already considering a move away from Barcelona, as Messi staying was a key factor in his decision to make the switch to La Liga.

However, Sport claims that such reports are false, and Aguero is still 'very happy' at Barcelona, with the former Manchester City man reassuring the board that he wants to stay.

The report adds that Aguero has already taken part in training with Ronald Koeman's side after returning from holiday and is in line for his debut during tomorrow's Joan Gamper Trophy clash with Juventus.

The Argentine penned a two-year deal with Barca upon his arrival, while PSG are said to preparing a contract of the same length for Messi.
