Aston Villa have reportedly lined up a move for Norwich City manager Paul Lambert following Alex McLeish's disappointing first season at the club.
The Scotsman has come under increasing pressure from the Villains' supporters, who have struggled to warm to the 53-year-old after the coach's switch from arch rivals Birmingham City.
Despite club owner Randy Lerner publicly displaying his support of the under-fire boss, it is believed that Lambert is the number one target for the Midlands side if they decide to sack McLeish in the summer, according to The Express.
Lambert has led the Canaries to 13th spot in the Premier League table following their return to the top flight this season.
