Gianfranco Zola has said that it would be "very good" if either Manuel Almunia or Carlo Cudicini could join Watford.
The veteran goalkeeping duo have been linked with a move to Vicarage Road as Zola, who recently took over at Watford, searches for a new stopper.
Almunia, 35, was released by Arsenal after nearly eight years with the club, while Cudicini, 38, is struggling for minutes with Tottenham Hotspur.
Speaking to Sky Sports News after watching his new side draw 1-1 with non-league side Boreham Wood in a pre-season friendly, Zola said: "Both are good goalkeepers. If they come they would be very good for this club.
"It's too early to say and we will update you on that."
The club's current number one, Scott Loach, has tonight been linked with a move away to fellow Championship side Ipswich Town and Zola admitted that it was a possibility and a good opportunity for the 24-year-old.
