Ipswich Town have reportedly agreed an offer with Watford for goalkeeper Scott Loach.
Paul Jewell has made a new stopper one of his priority signings ahead of the new season as Arran Lee-Barrett is the only recognised senior keeper in the Town squad.
The Blues have been linked with a number of potential number ones over the summer but have been beaten to the signatures of the likes of Tomasz Kuszczak, Paddy Kenny and Andy Lonergen, who have joined Brighton, Leeds and Bolton respectively.
Rumours this evening suggested that Jewell has moved for 24-year-old Loach, who may become second-choice at Watford if they bring in free agent Tom Heaton, who left Cardiff City at the end of last season.
If Loach was to move to Suffolk then he would be in familiar surroundings as he was brought up in the Ipswich youth system.
