Paul Jewell has not ruled out Marton Fulop moving away from Portman Road in the near future.
The Ipswich manager said he knows nothing about West Brom's reported interest in the Hungarian keeper, however.
Jewell said of the Baggies' reported interest: “You want to ask West Brom about that. I haven’t heard anything."
The Tractor Boys have signed David Stockdale on a season-long loan from Fulham, meaning that Fulop is likely to take a back seat at the Suffolk club.
"I have to say since we brought in David Stockdale, Marton’s reaction has been terrific," Jewell added.
“He’s knuckled down, there’s been no sulking, his attitude has been terrific. But I understand that he wants to play football."
Stockdale's loan deal comes with a 24-hour recall clause and if Fulop was to leave, Arran Lee-Barrett would be the only other goalkeeper as Brian Murphy has been released this summer.
“We have to be careful because David Stockdale’s on a 24-hour recall, everyone knows that. But if something comes up that suits us and Marton wants to do it, we’ll listen to it. But we’re not chasing people out the door.”
If Fulop does move to the Hawthorns, it is likely he will be back-up to their recent signing Ben Foster.
