Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly planning to ask Thierry Henry to extend a third spell with the club until the end of this season.
Henry is believed to have agreed a repeat of last season's six-week loan move to provide cover for forwards due to play in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Wenger has been impressed by Henry's sharpness in three training sessions at London Colney last week, and wants to keep the club's record goalscorer until May, according to The Sun.
The 35-year-old is expected to be ready to play for the New York Red Bulls when Major League Soccer resumes in March, a stumbling block to any extended deal.
Henry has been prolific for the Red Bulls, scoring 32 goals in 61 games during a two-year spell in New York.
