Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar from Schalke in January.
According to the Daily Mail, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has received favourable reviews of the Dutchman's performance in the Bundesliga this season and is keen to buy him when the transfer window reopens next month.
Wenger has reportedly held a discussion with Arsenal's chief scout Steve Rowley over the recruitment of Huntelaar and will make an offer to Schalke to buy the player before his contract with the German club runs out next summer.
Arsenal are also reportedly serious about signing Thierry Henry on loan from New York Red Bulls in January and will make a bid of £9m for Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha.
