Sunderland midfielder Alfred N'Diaye has admitted he and his teammates were disappointed to take nothing out of their game with Arsenal.
The Black Cats fell to a 1-0 defeat at the Stadium of Light as Santi Cazorla scored the only goal of the game despite the home side missing numerous chances.
N'Diaye told the club's official website: "I think we played very well. It was a tough game, the team worked very hard and we are disappointed to have lost, but that's life.
"I think if we could have made it 1-1 and got the draw it would have been deserved, but it wasn't to be."
Sunderland are currently 13th in the Premier League, eight points clear of the relegation zone.
