Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong is confident that he can return to his previous level of performance after returning from injury.

Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has expressed his belief that he can return from injury and perform at the highest level once again.

Frimpong has suffered two serious leg injuries in succession, raising concerns over whether he could ever return to his previous level of performance.

However, the 20-year-old believes that, having returned from a serious injury once before, he can do it again.

"When I had the first one [knee injury] people were telling me it takes ages to get back playing at the level I was playing at before and when I came back with Arsenal I think I showed everyone I was still the same player and hopefully I can come back this time and show everyone I am still the same player again," Frimpong told Sky Sports News.

Frimpong made his debut for the Gunners in August 2011 but has since been limited to just 14 appearances for the club.
