Kenny Jackett delighted with club record

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett says that it is a "terrific achievement" to win nine matches in a row in League One.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has insisted that it has taken a club-record run of nine successive wins to keep his team at the top of the League One table.

The Black Country outfit recorded an impressive 4-1 success away at Swindon Town on Tuesday evening to remain two points clear of Leyton Orient, and Jackett has praised his players for their "terrific achievement" since the turn of the year.

The 52-year-old told the club's official website: "It's a great feeling and a terrific achievement by the players to have achieved a club record.

"Obviously our main motivation for the season is to get promoted and if a club record comes within that, then it's an added bonus.

"Looking at the pace of this division, we have needed it because anything short of it would have left us chasing. I think that there were four wins and one draw out of the top five tonight but the most important thing was that we've won."

Wolves haven't tasted defeat since they lost 1-0 at Gillingham on January 3.
