West Ham United's Mauro Zarate heading back to Serie A?

West Ham United attacker Mauro Zarate is reportedly on the verge of completing a loan move to Fiorentina.

Fiorentina have reportedly reached advanced negotiations to take West Ham United attacker Mauro Zarate back to Italy.

The Argentine had stints in Serie A with Lazio and Inter Milan prior to his arrival at Upton Park in 2014.

However, according to Sky Sport Italia, the 29-year-old is close to securing a return, with Florence his destination.

The report adds that the deal will initially be a loan, with the option to make it permanent at the end of the season for £1.5m.

Zarate has scored five goals from his 21 appearances in all competitions this term.
