Reims move into sixth in Ligue 1

Reims defeat Bastia 4-2 to sting together two wins in a row and move into sixth in Ligue 1.

Reims have crushed Bastia 4-1 at Stade Auguste Delaune II to move into sixth place in Ligue 1.

Hubert Fournier's side have now strung together back-to-back wins having previously gone seven games without success.

Nicolas de Preville opened the scoring with a well-taken effort in the 23rd minute, and they were given the chance to double their lead just before half time.

Julien Sable was the guilty party, as the refereed adjudged him to have brought down Floyd Ayite inside the area. Grzegorz Krychowiak made no mistake from 12 yards.

An early second-half goal from Romaric sparked life back into the contest, but that was quickly distinguished when Prince Oniangue added a third for the home side three minutes later.

Eliran Atar made sure of the points in the 81st minute, although Wahbi Khazri managed to grab one back in the third minute of stoppage time.
