Scottish League One roundup: Wins for Rangers, Airdrie

There were wins for Rangers and Airdrie as the former confirmed their place clear at the top of the Scottish League One table.

Rangers maintained their perfect start to the Scottish League One season with a 5-1 win over Arbroath at Ibrox on Saturday.

Two hat-tricks in two games for captain Lee McCulloch ensured that boss Ally McCoist celebrated his 100th game as Rangers manager with a win.

Elsewhere, Airdrie sealed a 3-2 win over Stranraer in another high-scoring affair, while Forfar were 3-1 winners at East Fife.

However, both Brechin and Stenhousemuir were held at home 1-1 against Dunfermline and Ayr United respectively.
