Player Ratings: Shakhtar Donetsk 2-2 Porto

Sports Mole rates the performances of the players in Porto's 2-2 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.

Jackson Martinez scored twice in the final moments to earn Porto a 2-2 draw in their Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk this evening.

After Yacine Brahimi missed a first-half penalty, the visitors fell two goals down when Alex Teixeira and Luiz Adriano scored for the Ukrainian champions.

However, the Colombian international came off the bench to score twice in the final five minutes, sealing a point for the Portuguese side.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at the individual performances from both sets of players.

SHAKHTAR DONETSK

Goal

Andriy Pyatov: The Shakhtar goalkeeper was superb between the posts for the hosts this evening, stopping Yacine Brahimi's first-half penalty, while making seven further saves as he came under pressure late on while Porto pushed for an equaliser. (7/10)

Defence

Olexandr Kucher: Kucher conceded a penalty in the first half for bringing Brahimi down in the box, although the Porto forward could not convert from the spot. He made amends after the break though, providing the assist for Alex Teixeira's opening goal. (6/10)

Darijo Srna: The captain was kept busy at the back, making a series of blocks and clearances while trying to keep Cristian Tello and Oliver Torres at bay. He also proved a threat from set pieces, testing the Porto defenders with a couple of decent free kicks. (7/10)

Yaroslav Rakitskiy: Rakitskiy was lucky not to give away a penalty in the first half when replays showed that he handled the ball in the box, but his luck ran out late on when he was caught out again, resulting in Jackson Martinez getting a goal back from the spot. (3/10)

Marcio de Azevedo: Azevedo came out from the back a few times in the first half as he tried to help Shakhtar put the visitors under pressure, but was unable to maintain this after the break, although he did make some decent blocks at the back. (5/10)

Midfield

Taras Stepanenko: It was a pretty quiet evening for the midfielder, whose only real contribution was a sliding challenge to prevent Tello getting a shot away, which earned Stepanenko a booking. (4/10)

Fernando: Fernando had a busy night helping out at the back and trying to get forward, spending much of the first half battling with the pace of Tello, before getting involved in some physical skirmishes with Maicon. (5/10)

Douglas Costa: Costa was involved in several good attacking moves from Shakhtar in the first half, and almost forced Maicon to concede an own goal in the opening half-hour, but his contributions faded in the second half, resulting in him being subbed off before full time. (5/10)

Taison: Taison put in a lot of running in the first half before dropping back into a more defensive role in the second half. He picked up a knock before full time though, having to be taken off with 15 minutes still to play. (4/10)

Alex Teixeira: The scorer of the opening goal was probably the best player on the pitch for Shakhtar this evening, constantly displaying superb pace going forward, setting up a string of chances for his teammates, as well as having a few chances himself. (8/10)

Attack

Luiz Adriano: The home side's lone starting striker had to wait until the 85th minute for his first shot, but he made it count, slotting the ball in to double Shakhtar's advantage. (6/10)

Substitutes

Bernard: Bernard replaced Douglas Costa in the 78th minute, but did not see much of the ball before the full time whistle. (3/10)

Ilsinho: Taking over from Taison for the last 15 minutes, Ilsinho began his shift marking Brahimi, managing to put the Algerian off as he tried to fire in from the centre of the box, but he was booked late on while battling with Tello. (4/10)

PORTO

Goal

Fabiano: The Porto keeper did not have as much to do as he opposite number, facing just four on-target shots. There was little he could do to stop Teixeira's smash in from close range, but he could possibly have done better with Adriano's late effort, having been caught off his line. (5/10)

Defence

Danilo: Danilo put in a solid performance at both ends of the pitch, looking unshakable in defence while also providing several well-timed crosses up front. (7/10)

Bruno Martins Indi: There were no real errors as such from Martins Indi, but he struggled to halt the runs of Teixeira and Costa, particularly in the first half. (4/10)

Maicon: The captain was his usual dependable self at the back for the visitors for much of the match, denying Teixeira several times, but a rare mistake from the defender allowed Adriano in for the second Shakhtar goal. (5/10)

Alex Sandro: Sandro came out from the back a few times late in the first half to help the attack, but had a fairly anonymous night in defence. (3/10)

Midfield

Ivan Marcano: Marcano was involved in a couple of moves in the first half, taking on a long-range shot in the opening half-hour, but he was taken off early in the second half after the visitors fell behind to allow Porto to adopt a more attacking system. (5/10)

Hector Herrera: Herrera worked well with Tello and Torres on several occasions as the visitors piled the pressure on Shakhtar in the second half, but he was unable to find the back of the net. (6/10)

Oliver Torres: The young winger showed plenty of promise going forward, working well with Tello, but he gave Kucher too much space in the run-up to Shakhtar's opening goal, allowing the defender to get the cross in for Teixeira. (5/10)

Attack

Yacine Brahimi: Brahimi was unable to match his heroics from the first game of the group stage, where he scored a hat-trick, but he continued to look sharp going forward. The Algeria international will be disappointed not to have scored though, having won and taken a penalty in the first half, only to have his shot saved by Pyatov. (6/10)

Cristian Tello: Promoted to the starting lineup this evening, Tello looked a threat from the start with plenty of pace and attacking intent. He continued to run at Shakhtar deep into stoppage time, and was involved in the build-up to the equaliser. (7/10)

Vincent Aboubakar: The striker's inclusion in the starting lineup came as a surprise as he replaced Jackson Martinez. He saw plenty of service from Tello and Brahimi, but could not find the target, and was taken off with 25 minutes still to play. (3/10)

Substitutes

Juan Quintero: Replacing Marcano with 25 minutes still to play, Quintero was immediately involved, combining well with Martinez and eventually providing the cross for the late equaliser. (7/10)

Jackson Martinez: A surprise omission from the starting lineup, it was certainly a quality over quantity night for Martinez as he scored twice in six minutes to earn Porto a point. He fired an excellent penalty past Pyatov, who had denied Brahimi from the spot earlier, before firing in at the near post deep into stoppage time. (8/10)

Adrian Lopez: Lopez came on for the final 12 minutes in place of Brahimi, and had a good chance just a couple of minutes later, but could not find the angle to beat Pyatov. (4/10)
