Preview: Shakhtar Donetsk vs. Porto

Sports Mole previews the Champions League group stage encounter between Shakhtar Donetsk and Porto.

Shakhtar Donetsk will hope to continue their impressive home form in the Champions League when they host Porto in Lviv on Tuesday evening.

The Ukrainian giants haven't played at the Donbass Arena since May due to the continued civil unrest in the country, leaving them to play their home fixtures 760 miles away in Lviv.

Donetsk, who are second in their domestic league, drew 0-0 away against Athletic Bilbao in their opening group-stage fixture.

Defender Dmytro Chygrynskiy is unlikely to start after only recently returning from a long spell on the sidelines, while boss Mircea Lucescu has doubts over Oleksandr Kucher's participation.

Porto have made an unbeaten start to the season but they only sit second in Portugal after registering three draws in six games.

However, boss Julen Lopetegui guided his team to a 6-0 victory over BATE Borisov two weeks ago to gain the early advantage in Group H.

Porto are without Casemiro, Ricardo Quaresma and Diego Reyes, so a recall will be handed to on-loan Barcelona winger Cristian Tello.

Recent form

Shakhtar Donetsk: DWWDL
