Pope or Dubravka? Predicted Newcastle lineup vs. Fulham

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Newcastle United could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Fulham.

Newcastle United will be without at least three players for Saturday's Premier League clash with Fulham at St James' Park.

The Magpies are still unable to call upon Harvey Barnes (muscle), Callum Wilson (hamstring) and Jamaal Lascelles (ACL) as they continue to recover from injury, but goalkeeper Nick Pope is back in contention.

Pope missed 11 games in all competitions with a knee injury before watching on as an unused substitute in Newcastle's 3-1 win at Southampton last weekend. Eddie Howe will now ponder whether to recall his first-choice shot-stopper or continue with Martin Dubravka between the sticks.

Howe will also weigh up whether to recall Sven Botman in defence or stick with Fabian Schar and Dan Burn at centre-back, while Valentino Livramento and Lewis Hall are expected to continue as full-backs.

A midfield triumvirate of Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton has started the last six Premier League games and will likely stay intact on Saturday, with Joe Willock, Sean Longstaff and Lewis Miley providing cover on the substitutes' bench.

Following the sale of Miguel Almiron back to Atlanta United, Howe is almost certain to stick with Jacob Murphy and Anthony Gordon on the flanks as Golden Boot-chasing Alexander Isak leads the line and seeks to score his 18th Premier League goal of the season.

Newcastle United possible starting lineup: Dubravka; Livramento, Botman, Schar, Hall; Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton; Murphy, Isak, Gordon
