Man City injury, suspension news for Slovan Bratislava clash: Rodri, De Bruyne, Ake

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's injury and suspension news ahead of their trip to Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Manchester City make the trip to the Slovakian capital to face Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

This will be first meeting between the two sides and City's first ever trip to Slovakia for a European encounter, facing competition debutants and rank outsiders Slovan.

The visitors will see this as an opportunity to improve a recent run of form which has seen the English champions win just one of their last four games in all competitions, after they were held by Newcastle United on Saturday.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Slovan Bratislava, who enter this fixture in the back of a 5-1 defeat to Celtic on matchday one in their UCL debut.

Rodri

Possible return date: Unknown

Man City announced on Wednesday that Rodri tore his anterior cruciate ligament against Arsenal last weekend, and Pep Guardiola has confirmed that the midfielder's season is now over.

Possible return date: Unknown

De Bruyne failed a late fitness test ahead of the trip to Newcastle United at the weekend and the playmaker - who has now missed Man City's last three matches since being forced off against Inter Milan - is not available for Tuesday's match.

Nathan Ake
