Preview: Liverpool vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Sports Mole previews the Premier League encounter between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.

Liverpool host Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday hoping to strengthen their pursuit of the Premier League title.

The Merseyside club have won five successive matches to move to within a point of leaders Chelsea, and regardless of results elsewhere, another victory at Anfield will keep the pressure on the Blues and Manchester City.

Manager Brendan Rodgers is unlikely to make any changes to the team that beat Sunderland on Wednesday evening.

Spurs head coach Tim Sherwood would have been relieved to see his side recover from a 2-0 deficit to record a 3-2 win over Southampton last weekend.

That result brought an end to four games without a win, but his team face a tough ask to keep just their second clean sheet in 11 games against an in-form Liverpool.

Striker Roberto Soldado put in an improved display last weekend but he could find himself back on the bench if Emmanuel Adebayor returns after a cut heel.
