Ten-man Hoffenheim are forced to settle for a point at home to Augsburg.

Bundesliga strugglers Hoffenheim and Augsburg played out a volatile goalless draw, helping neither side in their quest for survival.

Hoffenheim manager Markus Babbel was infuriated by the sending-off of Hoffenheim substitute Sejad Salihovic in the late stages.

Babbel confronted the match official and was sent to the stands for his protests.

The home side had 10 shots on goal but could not force the breakthrough, with some dogged defending from Augsburg securing only their second point of the season.
