Chelsea midfielder Kevin de Bruyne will fly back to London overnight for a scan on his knee injury.

The Belgium international picked up the problem during yesterday's 4-1 pre-season friendly victory over a Malaysia XI side.

"Leaving to London tonight. Fully medical check up there. Feeling ok. Hopefully a good result after the check up," he wrote on the social networking site Twitter.

Early reports have suggested that Chelsea expect De Bruyne to be fit for their tour of the USA later this summer.
