Team News: Bayer Leverkusen unchanged for visit of Mainz 05

Roger Schmidt resists the temptation to make changes for Bayer Leverkusen's test against Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga.

Roger Schmidt has named an unchanged side for Bayer Leverkusen's clash with Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga.

Leverkusen boosted their hopes of reaching the knockout stages of the Champions League with a victory against Zenit St Petersburg in midweek, and Schmidt has decided against bringing in new faces.

That decision means that Karim Bellarabi is likely to operate in a central position behind Stefan Kiessling, who starts as the lone striker for the hosts.

Despite losing to Werder Bremen last weekend, Mainz are also unchanged as Kasper Hjulmand keeps faith with Niko Bungert and Stefan Bell in defence.

Bayer Leverkusen: Leno, Donati, Toprak, Spahic, Wendell, Calhanoglu, Bender, Brandt, Son, Bellarabi, Kiessling

Mainz: Karius, Brosinski, Bell, Bungert, Diaz, Baumgartlinger, Geis, Jairo, Malli, Koo, Okazaki
