Team News: Emre Can in midfield for Bayer Leverkusen

Emre Can starts in midfield for Bayer Leverkusen against Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga.

Bayer Leverkusen head coach Sami Hyypia has been able to name Emre Can in a more familiar attacking midfield role for Saturday evening's home clash against Schalke 04.

Sebastian Boenisch plays at left-back, with a solid midfield three of Simon Rolfes, Lars Bender and Gonzalo Castro supporting from midfield, although there is no Sidney Sam against his future club.

For Schalke, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar continues up front, with Jefferson Farfan providing the pace from the right flank alongside Kevin-Prince Boateng in attacking midfield.

Bayer: Leno; Hilbert, Spahic, Wollscheid, Boenisch; Castro, Rolfes, Bender; Can, Kiessling, Son

Schalke: Fahrmann; Hoogland, Matip, Santana, Kolasinac; Goretzka, Neustadter; Farfan, Meyer, Boateng; Huntelaar
