Carlo Ancelotti: 'League game comes first'

Carlo Ancelotti says that he will turn his focus to Barcelona only after Friday night's league match with Montpellier.

Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that his current focus is on the league match against Montpellier on Friday night and not the Champions league quarter-final with Barcelona.

He said that PSG could take a crucial step towards the Ligue 1 title should they win and Lyon fail to beat Sochaux, which is why he is currently only thinking about the job in hand.

"We will have time to think about Barcelona," L'Equipe quotes him as saying. "I think that this match Montpellier is also very important.

"From now on, every game is a turning point in the season." This is a great opportunity for us. If Lyon do not beat Sochaux we will have taken a step closer to the title. It is therefore necessary to focus on three points and not something else.

"Montpellier are no longer in the battle for the title, but are still a very good team. They have had very good results lately."

The match kicks off tonight at 7.30pm.
