A report claims that Arsenal fear losing highly-rated youngster Ben Cottrell to a foreign club for a cut-price fee.

Arsenal youngster Ben Cottrell has emerged as a rumoured transfer target for Borussia Dortmund and Marseille.

The 17-year-old midfielder has been with the Gunners since the age of nine and is considered a star of the future.

Cottrell has performed well for Arsenal's Under-18s side this term and, according to The Sun, that has put a host of clubs on alert.

Dortmund, who already have highly-rated Englishman Jadon Sancho on their books, are said to have made their interest known, while Marseille may also make an approach.

The same report suggests that Arsenal top brass are desperate to keep hold of Cottrell, but they fear losing him to a foreign club for a cut-price compensation fee.
