Riccardo Montolivo says that he will not celebrate should he score against Fiorentina.

AC Milan midfielder Riccardo Montolivo has promised that he will not celebrate should he score against his former club Fiorentina on Sunday.

It will be the first time that the Italian international has faced Viola since leaving on a free transfer in the summer.

Montolivo believes that by celebrating he would be showing a lack of respect to a club where he spent seven years.

"I don't think it would be right," Football Italia quotes Montolivo as saying. "Not celebrating would be the best way to respect my seven years in Viola.

"It won't be just another game for me. I was in Florence for some time and I definitely can't forget that."

The 27-year-old has scored two goals in 10 appearances this season.
