Heather Watson hopes for Wimbledon progress

Heather Watson reveals that she hopes to go further than ever at this year's Wimbledon Championships.

Britain's Heather Watson has revealed that she hopes to make progress at this year's Wimbledon Championships.

The 20-year-old, who takes on world number 52 Iveta Benesova on Monday, has never got past the first round of the grass court tournament.

"At Wimbledon I always want to do especially well, because it's at home and on the grass," the British number three told BBC Sport.

"I'm loving the grass. I've had time to get used to it and adapt my game.

"I will take it match by match but hopefully it will take me far."

Watson recently reached the second round of the French Open but was eventually defeated by the more experienced Julia Goerges.
