Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli has insisted that she has no regrets over her retirement from tennis.
The 29-year-old quit the sport just 40 days after winning her only Grand Slam title at SW19 last year due to persistent injury problems.
However, Bartoli maintains that she made the right decision to step away from tennis following her Wimbledon triumph.
"Literally, I can't even lift my arm every morning," she is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "So I definitely have no regrets at all.
"So many things are going on in my life right now, but I'm just extremely honoured to be still the 2013 Wimbledon champion and reigning champion just for the last two weeks."
Wimbledon gets underway at the All England Lawn Tennis club on Monday.
