Andy Murray has reached the quarter-finals of the US Open for a sixth time after overcoming Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets at Flushing Meadows on Monday.
The world number two dropped just five games and hit his fastest ever serve at 141mph during a 6-1 6-2 6-2 triumph in New York.
In his opening game of the first set, Murray felt pressure on his serve as Dimitrov created two break points, but the Scotsman held before earning a double break.
Dimitrov tried to claw his way back into the match in the second set by breaking Murray after dropping serve twice in a row, but it failed to trouble the British number one as he broke back instantly.
Murray continued his dominance as he completed the third set in 42 minutes and set up a final-eight clash against Kei Nishikori, who reached the Grand-Slam final in 2014.
