Andy Murray has revealed that he found the court on Louis Armstrong a lot faster than on Arthur Ashe Stadium, where he had played his first three matches at the US Open.
The world number three succumbed to Kevin Anderson in four sets on Monday night, and the Scot has acknowledged that he would have played differently had the contest been played on the main showcourt at Flushing Meadows.
The 28-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "That court is a lot quicker than Ashe. I felt like I was on the back foot quite a lot and wasn't able to play that offensively."
Murray's defeat to the South African was only his second in seven meetings.
