Great Britain's Heather Watson moved into round two of the Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo courtesy of a 6-4 7-6 victory over Sabine Lisicki earlier today.
Watson broke the world number 30 to love in the tenth game of the opening set to open up a 1-0 advantage.
The second set went to a breaker after 20-year-old Watson had twice recovered from a break down. She then opened up a 6-1 lead, before eventually serving out for a 7-3 success in 98 minutes.
Watson will now take on number two seed Maria Sharapova for a place in the next round.
