Great Britain's Heather Watson believes that she has the capability to become the world's number one ranked tennis player.
The 20-year-old broke into the top 50 after she won her first WTA singles title in Japan at the weekend.
Having seen her stock rise on the back of her recent success, Guernsey-born Watson has now turned her attention to moving even further up the world rankings.
"I definitely believe in myself. I wouldn't be in the game if I didn't I have the capability to [become number one] and the mental toughness to do it. I have the game to do it," said Watson.
"All these girls think the same thing, so it's just who can do it and I'm just going to do whatever it takes to do it."
Watson's win in Japan saw her become the first Brit to claim a WTA singles title since Sara Gomer in 1988.
