Viktoria Azarenka claimed her sixth WTA title of the season with victory at the Generali Ladies Tournament in Linz, Austria yesterday.
The Belarusian defeated Julia Goerges in straight sets in Sunday's final despite a spirited performance from the German underdog.
Azarenka let five match points slip before finally claiming the win, and told reporters after the match that she allowed her focus to waiver late on.
The top seed said: "I lost my concentration. Julia came back so strong and I made some unnecessary mistakes. I am glad I came out on top. It was quite difficult.
"I don't really count my victories. I just try to go out there and enjoy every match."
Victory in Austria was Azarenka's final chance to prepare for the season-ending WTA Tour Championships, which begin next Monday in Istanbul.
The 23-year-old has now won 13 successive matches without dropping a set since losing the US Open final to Serena Williams in September.
